About Us

Owners and self proclaimed jerky experts Kristen Stutts and Alicia Laidlaw began Charleston Jerky Co. LLC, in the spring of 2010, with a vision of creating an ultimate jerky one stop shop. Having careers as teachers, Kristen and Alicia spend their summers with their husbands and children playing, socializing and traveling.  They always look for unique experiences that enrich their lives.  They bring their love and passion for life and excitement to everyone they meet. 

In 2005, Alicia's family moved to Eutawville to enjoy life on the beautiful waters of Lake Marion. One year later, Kristen's family followed, and they quickly fell in love with the small town atmosphere that turns tourist attraction in the spring and summer.  The local environment was ideal to start their small business with the support of their friends and family. 

Alicia and Kristen plan to open the doors of their 1st Charleston Jerky Co. processing facility located in Vance in the winter of 2011.  Once they open the doors, they vow to sell only the best tasting jerky with the finest ingredients. We all agree...Charleston Jerky Co. will be the best source for jerky .

Charleston Jerky Co. is committed to providing only the finest and most unique jerky, made with the freshest ingredients. All of our products will be hand processed by the Laidlaw and Stutts family. If we don't eat it, we won't sell it.  Our unique products and friendly service will create a memorable experience that always brings you back for more.
